Moving from the small town to the bigger city, Christofer came up through the DIY scene of the early 2010's, making a career as a music video director, later moving on to commercials. He’s drawn to portraying problematic characters through themes of loneliness, class and broken dreams in rural settings.

Christofer’s first collaboration with producer Annegret Kunath - the 2023 short film The Ballad (SE-FR) - was broadcast by ARTE France and SVT and had a long festival run.

His latest short, Dancing Pigeons (SE-FR), won a Guldbagge (Swedish Academy Award) for Best Short Film 2025 after premiering winning the Audience Award at Uppsala ISFF.

He’s currently in development of his debut feature, APOTEOS, workshopped through TFL Next Feature program, with development support from the national first feature scheme.

Since 2021, Christofer is represented commercially by Bleck in Stockholm.
